It has a unique structure with the theka: Tin Tin Na | Dhin Na | Dhin Na.

Roopak is distinctive because it begins with a khali (wave) instead of a clap.
It is popular in Khayal and light classical compositions. Tigun notation:
Tigun means triple speed. So, for Roopak: each beat is divided into 3 parts.
Example: Dha Dhin Dhin | Dha Tin Tin | Ta Dhin Dhin
This notation shows how the theka is expanded in triple speed.
