Three MBA graduates – Aman, Ashish, and Ashi – started a social startup named ‘Solutions’ to bring about a positive social and environmental change in the slums of Mumbai. Each of them used different creative methods to educate slum dwellers.
Though all three had the same educational background (MBA in social work), their methods of applying knowledge varied. This highlights that the personal application of knowledge depends on individual thinking and creativity.
This case represents the social environment as part of the business environment. The startup 'Solutions' addressed the need for education and better living conditions in slums.
This case highlights how initiative, division of work, innovation, and social responsibility contribute to success in a social enterprise. It aligns with principles of management and shows real-world application of business studies concepts.

A racing track is built around an elliptical ground whose equation is given by \[ 9x^2 + 16y^2 = 144 \] The width of the track is \(3\) m as shown. Based on the given information answer the following:
(i) Express \(y\) as a function of \(x\) from the given equation of ellipse.
(ii) Integrate the function obtained in (i) with respect to \(x\).
(iii)(a) Find the area of the region enclosed within the elliptical ground excluding the track using integration.
OR
(iii)(b) Write the coordinates of the points \(P\) and \(Q\) where the outer edge of the track cuts \(x\)-axis and \(y\)-axis in first quadrant and find the area of triangle formed by points \(P,O,Q\).
