Comparative Financial Data as on 31st March, 2024 and 2023
| Particulars | 31.03.2024 (₹) | 31.03.2023 (₹) |
|---|---|---|
| Surplus (P&L) | 17,00,000 | 8,00,000 |
| Patents | -- | 50,000 |
| Sundry Debtors | 5,80,000 | 4,20,000 |
| Sundry Creditors | 1,40,000 | 60,000 |
| Cash and Cash Equivalents | 2,00,000 | 90,000 |
Net Profit before Tax and Extraordinary Items:
Increase in Surplus (P&L) = ₹17,00,000 − ₹8,00,000 = ₹9,00,000
Add: Interim Dividend Paid = ₹1,20,000
Total Net Profit during the year = ₹9,00,000 + ₹1,20,000 = ₹10,20,000
Adjustments for Changes in Working Capital:
Net Change in Working Capital:
Change = (−₹1,60,000) + ₹80,000 = −₹80,000
Net Cash from Operating Activities:
\[ \text{Net Cash from Operating Activities} = ₹10,20,000 - ₹80,000 = ₹9,40,000 \]
Answer: ₹9,40,000
A racing track is built around an elliptical ground whose equation is given by \[ 9x^2 + 16y^2 = 144 \] The width of the track is \(3\) m as shown. Based on the given information answer the following:
(i) Express \(y\) as a function of \(x\) from the given equation of ellipse.
(ii) Integrate the function obtained in (i) with respect to \(x\).
(iii)(a) Find the area of the region enclosed within the elliptical ground excluding the track using integration.
OR
(iii)(b) Write the coordinates of the points \(P\) and \(Q\) where the outer edge of the track cuts \(x\)-axis and \(y\)-axis in first quadrant and find the area of triangle formed by points \(P,O,Q\).
