Option (A):
Step 1: In the ovarian hormone graph, hormone ‘P’ is progesterone and hormone ‘Q’ is estrogen.
Step 2: Progesterone (P) is secreted by the corpus luteum after ovulation. Estrogen (Q) is primarily secreted by the growing follicles (Graafian follicle) in the ovary.
OR
Option (B):
Step 1: In the pituitary hormone graph, hormone ‘P’ is Luteinising Hormone (LH) and hormone ‘Q’ is Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH).
Step 2: In females, LH triggers ovulation and formation of the corpus luteum. In males, LH stimulates Leydig cells to produce testosterone.
