Concept:
The cotton spinning process follows a sequential order where the output of one machine becomes the input (feed) for the next, transforming bulk fibers into high-quality yarn.
Step 1: Early stages: Blow Room and Carding.
In the Blow Room, raw cotton is opened and cleaned, producing a Lap (in traditional systems). Carding further cleans and individualizes the fibers, producing a continuous rope-like form called a Sliver.
Step 2: Later stages: Speed Frame and Ring Frame.
The Speed Frame (Roving Frame) drafts the sliver and adds a small amount of twist to produce Roving. Finally, the Ring Frame drafts the roving to the desired count and adds full twist to produce Ring Yarn.
Step 3: Matching the Lists.
A-III (Blow Room: Lap), B-IV (Carding: Sliver), C-I (Speed Frame: Roving), D-II (Ring Frame: Ring Yarn).
