Step 1: A newborn, especially a small or preterm baby, loses heat rapidly during transport. The ideal method keeps the baby warm continuously and is available everywhere without electricity.
Step 2: Kangaroo Mother Care places the baby skin to skin against the mother's (or father's) chest. The parent's body heat keeps the baby warm, and the method also supports breastfeeding and bonding during transfer.
Step 3: A transport incubator needs a power source and trained staff, a thermacol box only insulates passively, and a hot bottle risks burns and uneven heating. KMC is therefore the preferred and safest choice for warm transport.
