From lens maker's formula $\frac{1}{{f}} = (\mu - 1)\left(\frac{1}{R_1} - \frac{1}{R_2}\right)$
we have $ \frac{1}{f_1} = (1.5 -1) \left( \frac{1}{20}\right) = \frac{1}{40}$
$\& \hspace10mm \frac{1}{f_2} = (1.7 - 1) \left(\frac{2}{20}\right) = \frac{7}{100}$
${Now} \hspace10mm \frac{1}{f} = \frac{1}{f_1} \frac{1}{f_2}\frac{1}{f_3}$
$\Rightarrow \hspace10mm \frac{1}{f} = \frac{1}{40} + \frac{1}{40} - \frac{7}{100}$
$\Rightarrow \hspace10mm f = - 50 \,cm $
we have $ \frac{1}{f_1} = (1.5 -1) \left( \frac{1}{20}\right) = \frac{1}{40}$
