Concept:
Non-woven manufacturing bypasses the traditional yarn-making stage, converting fibers directly into a fabric structure.
Step 1: Fiber and Web Preparation.
The process begins with B (Fibre preparation), involving opening and blending. These fibers are then processed to create a loose structure through D (Web formation), such as carding.
Step 2: Laying and Consolidation.
To achieve the desired weight and width, the web undergoes A (Web laying) (e.g., cross-lapping). Once the layers are placed, they must be joined together via C (Mechanical bonding), such as needle punching or hydroentanglement.
Step 3: Final Stage.
The last step is E (Finishing), which may include coating, dyeing, or heat setting to give the fabric its final properties.
