My Role Model: Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Every individual needs a beacon of light to guide them through the turbulent waters of life. For me, that unwavering source of inspiration has always been the 'Missile Man of India', Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. His life is a testament to the fact that sheer hard work, coupled with a pure heart, can elevate a person from the humblest of beginnings to the highest office in the nation.
Born into a modest family in Rameswaram, Dr. Kalam distributed newspapers as a young boy to support his education. What inspires me the most about him is not just his brilliant scientific mind that spearheaded India's space and missile programs, but his profound humility and simplicity. Despite becoming the President of the world's largest democracy, he remained a teacher at heart, dedicating his final years entirely to igniting the minds of the youth.
Dr. Kalam's philosophy of dreaming big resonates deeply with me. He famously said, "Dream is not that which you see while sleeping, it is something that does not let you sleep." Whenever I face failure or self-doubt, I recall his resilience. He taught me that failures are merely stepping stones to success and that true leadership is about taking responsibility during crises.
