Step 1: Define nuchal translucency. It is the normal fluid-filled subcutaneous space at the back of the fetal neck, measured by ultrasound as a first-trimester aneuploidy screen.
Step 2: Recall the timing window. It is reliably measured in the late first to early second trimester, specifically about 11 weeks 3 days to 13 weeks 6 days, i.e. 11-13 weeks.
Step 3: Why the others are wrong. At 8-10 weeks the measurement is unreliable, and 18-20 or 20-22 weeks are too late - the nuchal space has resolved and the scan is then used for anomaly assessment, not NT. Hence 11-13 weeks is correct.
