Step 1: Evaluating Length and Fineness Measurement.
Fibre length in cotton is most commonly measured using a Digital fibro graph, which provides span length data. Fibre fineness (linear density) is determined by the Gravimetric method, which involves weighing a known length of fibers.
Step 2: Evaluating Maturity and Strength Measurement.
Fibre maturity (the degree of cell wall development) can be assessed via the Differential dyeing method, where mature and immature fibers take up dyes differently. Fibre strength is measured using a Stelometer, which tests the breaking tenacity of a fiber bundle.
Step 3: Matching the Lists.
A-IV (Length: Digital fibro graph), B-III (Fineness: Gravimetric), C-II (Maturity: Differential dyeing), D-I (Strength: Stelometer).
