Step 1: Determining the standard artistic primary set.
In the RYB (Red-Yellow-Blue) color model used for pigments and paints, the primary colors are Red, Yellow, and Blue. These colors cannot be created by mixing other colors together. Note: In lighting (additive mixing), the primaries are Red, Green, and Blue (RGB), but the traditional academic answer for arts is RYB.
