Step 1: Define leading questions

As per the Indian Evidence Act, leading questions are generally not allowed during Examination-in-Chief or Re-examination unless the court permits.
Step 3: Permitted during Cross-Examination
During Cross-Examination, the opposing party may ask leading questions to test the credibility of the witness.
