• A. B.P. Mandal
• B. Kanshi Ram
• C. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee
• D. Deen Dayal Upadhyay

Hint:

DS4 was the forerunner of the BSP.

Answer 1

The Correct Option is B

Step 1: Understanding the Concept:
The Dalit Shoshit Samaj Sangharsh Samiti is also known as DS4. It was an organisation formed to bring Dalit and other oppressed groups together in the early 1980s. We must name its leader.

Step 2: Recall the fact.
DS4 was founded in 1981 by Kanshi Ram. It later grew into the Bahujan Samaj Party, which was formed in 1984 under his leadership.

Step 3: Check option 1.
B.P. Mandal headed the Second Backward Classes Commission, known as the Mandal Commission. He had no role in DS4. So option 1 is wrong.

Step 4: Check option 2.
Kanshi Ram founded DS4 and later the BSP. So option 2 is correct.

Step 5: Check option 3.
Shyama Prasad Mukherjee founded the Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1951. He had no link with DS4. So option 3 is wrong.

Step 6: Check option 4.
Deen Dayal Upadhyay was a leader and thinker of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, who gave the idea of integral humanism. So option 4 is wrong.

Final Answer:
DS4 was started by Kanshi Ram, so option 2 is correct. \[ \boxed{\text{Option 2}} \]
