Overhead Valve (OHV) Engine:

Overhead Cam (OHC) Engine:

Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) Engine:
A single camshaft controls both the intake and exhaust valves.
Double Overhead Cam (DOHC) Engine:
Two camshafts are used, one for intake valves and one for exhaust valves.
Side Valve Engine:
The valves are located beside the piston, typically used in older engines.
