Crassulacean acid metabolism $(C A M)$ is a mechanism of photosynthesis which involves double fixation of $CO _{2}$-initial PEP case fixation and final RuB is CO fixation of $CO _{2}$, in the same cells but at different times, i.e., night and day. In $CAM$ plants stomata remain closed during the daytime and open only at night. Snake plant (Sanseviera trifasciata) is a $C A M$ plant
